How Our Pricing Works
Fares at Obsidian Ride are calculated by actual driving distance from your pickup address. Two simple formulas:
- GSP transfers — within 15 miles of Greenville-Spartanburg International, a flat $85. Beyond 15 miles, $85 plus $3.25 per additional mile.
- CLT and ATL transfers — long-distance pickup or drop-off at Charlotte-Douglas (CLT) or Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta (ATL). Calculated as $85 + $3.25 per mile. We service these airports for pickup and drop-off only — we do not provide local rides inside North Carolina or Georgia.
- Point-to-point in Upstate SC — same mileage formula: $85 + $3.25 per mile.
Your rate is locked in at booking and remains the same regardless of traffic, weather, or demand.
GSP Flat Zone — Within 15 Miles
Clients located within 15 miles of Greenville-Spartanburg International (GSP) pay a straightforward $85 flat rate to or from the terminal. This zone covers the majority of central Greenville, Greer, Simpsonville, and surrounding communities. GSP is the only airport with a flat-zone rate — CLT and ATL are priced by mileage on every trip.
Mileage Rates — Beyond GSP, Plus CLT and ATL
Clients further out from GSP — Spartanburg, Anderson, Clemson, Gaffney, Easley, Union, and other Upstate communities — pay $85 plus $3.25 per mile for every mile beyond the 15-mile threshold. Long-distance transfers to Charlotte-Douglas (CLT) and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta (ATL) use the standard mileage formula. We provide pickup and drop-off at CLT and ATL only — we do not service local rides inside North Carolina or Georgia.
